JPA Meeting with PostGrad Students

Kite mulakan semester ini ngan gambar2 yang agak bosan, tapi untuk memenuhi kehendak peminat (yang sudah sampai ke peringkat meminta surat tunjuk sebab disebabkan tidak meng-upload gamba2 baru), kini tiba masanye untuk first installment of the semester. Perjumpaan kali nih dihadiri oleh pelajar2 postgrad tajaan JPA di Malaysia Hall Melbourne, untuk beramah mesra dan mengajukan sebarang pertanyaan kepada pegawai2 JPA yang bertugas di Australia. Majlis dijalankan dalam suasana yang agak ringkas tetapi riuh disebabkan kanak2 berlari-lari bagaikan diberikan overdose gula. Takper, more fun pivtures the next time kay?

Summer gave way to gales, heavy rain, flooding, hail, snow and huge dust storms as the deep low pressure system took hold over the continent.
Hardest hit was Victoria, with Melbourne battered by gale-force winds throughout Wednesday and recording its heaviest rainfall in a 24-hour period since records began in 1856. Transport was thrown into chaos as 120mm of rain fell on the city in the 24 hours to 9am (AEDT).
The Bass Strait ferry Spirit of Tasmania I was forced to turn back to Melbourne after being lashed by 20-metre waves that smashed windows. In the Snowy Mountains, heavy snow fell on Victorian and NSW ski resorts, with Falls Creek reporting 15cm of snow on Thursday afternoon. "None of us can remember snow in February before," said Debbie Howe, from Falls Creek. |
Hall's Laundry room was flooded with excess water coming out from the door leading to the central heating machine. Leaves from trees filled most of Hall's backyard. Alhamdulillah, all of us here are safe (because we actually dont even know there's storm outside  )

Hari ni kitorang lunch kat Footscray, rumah Kak Dila n Kak Laily n Kak Liza. Makan ikan bakar n ayam n pizza buat sendiri and nasi n minum air pelbagai jenis. Lepas tu kena pasang furniture baru diorang. takpe, yang penting perut kenyang!!

Raya Haji BBQ at Coburg Park & Lake Reserve
|
|
Bersempena dengan raya haji baru2 ini, kawan2 kita di sekitar Melbourne telah menjemput kami warga2 Hall untuk hadir di dalam program BBQ yang diadakan di Coburg Lake. Di sana, kami dapat menjamah kambing dan ayam BBQ, bihun goreng, bubur sum2, cekodok pisang, nugget ayam, salad2, nasi briyani dan pelbagai lagi juadah masakan yang disediakan secara pot luck. Alhamdulillah, disamping menjamu selera, kami juga dapat mengeratkan hubungan silaturrahim antara sesama kita.

At last!! A picnic at the beach!! This time we came all the way to brighton beach, which is just a few train stops away from Hall. A nice and windy day that was.
although it was sunny ...but it's cold ...damn cold...
